FrankendeF

Formerly called "Ghouls Against Boys", FrankendeF is the crossover brainchild of Philadelphia based battle DJ and MC Lightborn iLLumadel. Born of a life long interest in horror movies, comic books, and cereal on Halloween night of 2004, after a successful impromptu live performance at the first ever Code Space in Southwest Philadelphia with Seph 138 and Northern Liberies. Ghouls against Boys recorded "Creature Crunch" due to interest and enthusiasm for the unique and energetic project. Relying on the punk and garage rock influence of his upbringing, iLLumadel decided to take his knowledge base of playing several live instruments and his interest in pop culture motifs and create a hybrid musical entity that is literally indescribable genre wise, but absolutely powerful, rich, and wondrous sounding. With hints of 50's Philly doo wop, 60's garage rock, 70's new wave, 80's electro, 90's punk, and a spiraling space age comet ride into a new future sound for the millenium, DJ iLLumael has transformed himself into FrankendeF, and transformed his music into new heights.
